The focus of my research is the evidence-based study of software development. My field of research depends upon data mining, statistics, machine learning, NLP, human aspects of software engineering, and software engineering. With respect to software engineering my research focuses on empirical software engineering, mining software repositories (aka big data analysis in SE), software analytics, software development processes, software maintenance and evolution, and software metrics. Other interests include human-computer interactions, information retrieval, and recommender systems.
